Counseling & Psychotherapy


Mental health and well-being is an area of increasing concern, as we all deal with the many challenges and stresses of modern lie.  Careers in counseling seek ways to support individuals who may be dealing with issues such as bereavement, divorce, abuse, trauma and relationship issues etc.

Level 3 Diploma in counseling Skills

This qualification is ideal for those seeking to enhance their functional role through the use of counseling skills. Learners will gain an understanding of a range of counseling skills and have the opportunity to examine some of the various schools of thought/theoretical models associated with them.

Coaching and mentoring is about helping others to support their personal and professional development.  Coaching and mentoring employs a range of skills to enable to support individuals manage change, work life balance issues, making decisions, improving performance etc.

Level 3 coaching and Mentoring Diploma

This qualification is designed for junior managers seeking to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence to coach and mentor people as part of their normal role. It’s also the ideal starting point for a career in coaching and mentoring.  You will develop an understanding of the skills required to effective coach or provide mentoring skills whether in a community based setting or working as a freelance coach/mentor.

Learning is continuous – life long, such learning opportunities arise not only in Further Education Colleges, but also within the workplace.   As employers want to improve the skills and qualification of their workforce, opportunities exist for expert educators and trainers to deliver programmes from all sectors as part of this knowledge and skills drive.  Whether you have expertise in beauty, design, childcare, engineering, English etc, you will need to have a qualification in education and training in order to deliver training to adults in your area of specialism.

Level 3 Award in Education and Training

The NCFE Level 3 Award in Education and Training is an introductory teaching qualification.  This qualification replaces the QCF Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS).

Level 3 Diploma in Business Management

The Level 3 Diploma in Business is a 60 credit qualification and is the equivalent level to an A-Level or Access to HE qualification. It has been designed for learners who wish to progress to a business or management degree but may not have the traditional entry qualifications usually required.
